Theme: Wonder, and letting beautiful things stay free

## Story

**Page 1:** Hoot Owl finds a glass jar by the pond. The water inside sparkles.

**Page 2:** "Look!" says Hoot. "Little stars are swimming in my jar!"

**Page 3:** The stars are really soft reflections in the water. They twinkle gently in the still, quiet water.

**Page 4:** Hoot holds the jar up high. "I will keep my stars forever!"

**Page 5:** But the stars look dim in the jar. They do not twinkle as bright.

**Page 6:** Hoot thinks and thinks. "Stars belong up in the sky," he says.

**Page 7:** He pours the water back in the pond. Plip! The water ripples out.

**Page 8:** Up above, the real stars shine bright. Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle!

**Page 9:** Hoot smiles at the sky. "Now you shine your very best!"

**Page 10:** Some beautiful things are best to look at, not to keep.
