## Story

**Page 1:** Otto Otter packs a picnic basket. He packs sandwiches and berries.

**Page 2:** Otto floats happily down the wide river on his back. Splish! The cool water tickles his whiskers.

**Page 3:** He stops on a grassy bank. "Perfect picnic spot!" says Otto.

**Page 4:** He spreads a checkered blanket. He sets out the sandwiches.

**Page 5:** A kingfisher swoops down. "Can I join?" she asks. "Yes!" says Otto.

**Page 6:** A beaver paddles over. "Can I join?" he asks. "Yes!" says Otto.

**Page 7:** A duckling waddles up. "Can I join?" she asks. "Yes!" says Otto.

**Page 8:** They all share the picnic. Sandwiches, berries, and happy chatter!

**Page 9:** After lunch, they play in the water. Splash! Everyone gets wet feet.

**Page 10:** Otto packs his empty basket. "A picnic tastes best with friends!"
