Plinka found a pair of shiny red shoes in a box marked for dancing.

She put them on, and right away the shoes began to tap, tap, tap on the floor.

The shoes twirled Plinka to the left, then spun her to the right.

"Slow down, shoes!" laughed Plinka, as they hopped toward the door.

The shoes danced out to the garden, where a butterfly fluttered by.

Plinka tried to catch them, but the shoes waltzed just out of reach.

Then her friend Sunny arrived and said, 'Those shoes want a dance partner!'

Sunny took Plinka's hand, and together they danced with the twirly shoes.

The shoes slowed down, happy at last, and danced a gentle final twirl.

## Page 10

Plinka smiled and said, 'Dancing is even better when we dance together.'
