## Story

Page 1: Bruno Bear lived with Papa Bear, who was big, and Grandpa Bear, who was bigger.
Page 2: Bruno wanted to be the biggest bear in the whole forest.
Page 3: He tried on Papa's boots, but they flopped and flapped on his feet.
Page 4: He tried on Grandpa's hat, but it slid right down over his eyes.
Page 5: He tried to roar like the biggest bears, but only a squeak came out.
Page 6: Bruno sat on a log and sighed. "I will never be big," he said.
Page 7: Then Baby Bird fell from her nest, and Bruno caught her softly.
Page 8: His paws were just the right size to hold someone small and scared.
Page 9: Mama Bird sang, "Thank you, little bear, for your gentle, perfect paws."
Page 10: Bruno smiled. He did not need to be biggest to be wonderful.
