# Ant Carries a Crumb Home

## Story

**Page 1:** Andy Ant finds a big, round crumb under the tall oak tree. The crumb is almost as big as Andy himself!

**Page 2:** Andy pushes the crumb with all his might. It rolls a little way, and then it stops.

**Page 3:** "I can do this," says Andy. He takes a deep breath and pushes the crumb again.

**Page 4:** The path climbs up a steep, grassy hill. Andy's six little legs begin to feel very tired.

**Page 5:** A friendly ladybug lands beside him. "Would you like some help?" she asks with a smile.

**Page 6:** Andy and the ladybug push the crumb together. Slowly, slowly, it rolls up the grassy hill.

**Page 7:** A strong beetle comes along the path. Now three friends push the heavy crumb together.

**Page 8:** They roll the crumb past a grey stone and under a wide, green leaf. The crumb stays safe.

**Page 9:** At last, they reach Andy's cosy home under the oak tree. The crumb rolls inside, safe and sound.

**Page 10:** Andy shares the crumb with his kind friends. "Thank you for helping me," he says happily.
