## Story

**Page 1:** Sammy Snail wants to join the garden race. The race goes all the way to the strawberry patch.

**Page 2:** Rabbit hops fast. Mouse runs fast. Sammy moves slowly, slowly, along the path.

**Page 3:** Rabbit zooms past Sammy. "See you at the strawberries!" he calls.

**Page 4:** Mouse scurries past Sammy. "I will win!" she squeaks.

**Page 5:** Sammy keeps going, slowly and steadily. He leaves a shiny trail on the path.

**Page 6:** At a fork in the path, Rabbit and Mouse stop. "Which way is the strawberry patch?" they ask.

**Page 7:** Sammy's shiny trail points the right way. "Follow my trail!" says Sammy.

**Page 8:** Rabbit and Mouse follow Sammy's trail. Soon, they all reach the strawberry patch together.

**Page 9:** They share the sweet, red strawberries. Everyone is happy, fast and slow alike.

**Page 10:** Sammy smiles as he munches a strawberry. Slow and steady can help everyone win.
