## Story

**Page 1:** Harbour Cat sat on the dock. He held a fishing rod.

**Page 2:** He waited and waited on the wooden dock, watching the water ripple in the morning sun.

**Page 3:** Tug! Cat pulled up a soggy old boot and laughed, 'That is certainly not a fish for dinner!'

**Page 4:** He tried again. Tug! He pulled up an old shoe.

**Page 5:** Cat did not give up, even after the boot and the shoe, and he cast his line once more.

**Page 6:** The line went tight and the rod bent low as something big and strong pulled under the water.

**Page 7:** Cat pulled and pulled. A big silver fish jumped!

**Page 8:** The harbour friends cheered. 'What a catch!'

**Page 9:** Cat smiled at the wide blue sea, glad that patience had brought him such a wonderful catch.

**Page 10:** Cat smiled at the sea. Patience brings a big catch.
