## Story

**Page 1:** Squirrel gathered nuts in autumn. One, two, three nuts.

**Page 2:** She hid them in a hollow log and under the dry leaves, keeping her store safe and secret.

**Page 3:** Each day she saved one more nut, hiding it carefully, until her winter store grew big and full.

**Page 4:** A cold wind blew. A hungry bird chirped softly.

**Page 5:** A cold wind blew through the trees, and a hungry little bird chirped softly for food.

**Page 6:** Squirrel counted her nuts one by one and found that she still had plenty left for winter.

**Page 7:** Squirrel counted her nuts. She still had plenty!

**Page 8:** Winter snow fell down. Squirrel stayed warm and fed.

**Page 9:** Bird visited in the snow, and they shared a nut together under the cold and starry sky.

**Page 10:** Saving helped Squirrel. Sharing helped a friend too.
